Logan's Special Day

We blessed Logan on June 24th.  It was a perfect day with friends and family.  Logan was an angel baby and slept through his whole blessing and most of the festivities after.  Nephi gave him a beautiful blessing and I loved feeling the spirit and the sweet spirit this little boy brings into our family.  Thanks to all who came to support us.  It was so fun to have my big sis and her kiddos come who were in town from California.  Logan wore Nephi's blessing dress which was really cool.  It was really dainty looking and a little girly but we are calling it vintage!

Finally a girl cousin to play with

 Cousins just four months apart

We are so grateful for this little boy!

2 Months

Logan turned two months on June 21st.  I am a little behind in posting about his second month of life.  Things have gotten much easier this month and we seem to be getting into a little bit of a schedule.  I was so overwhelmed with two kids for a while, but I finally feel like I have a handle on my life again.  Don' get me wrong, two kids is still pretty tough some days, but we are managing!  Logan had his checkup and did great with his shots.  He has reflux, which I knew and is on medicine for it and the medicine isn't doing squat.  We are starting another one and it will help with all his pain during and right after he eats, poor guy.  Here are his stats at 2 months:
Weight: 11.6 lbs
Height: 22 in
Head: 15.6 in
At 2 months Logan:
-still loves to be swaddled
-finally started liking his swing and loves to take naps in it
-having a hard time taking naps outside of his swing
-eats five times a day, every 3-4 hours, and once at night
-isn't a very sound sleeper and wakes up multiple times during the night just because and wakes up to every little sound and the second the car slows or stops
-started smiling at about six weeks and will smile if you just look at him
-started cooing and loves to chat
-discovered his hands and thinks they are super tasty
-loves his binkie, but still has a hard time keeping it in
-hates being held facing out (seriously what baby doesn't like to be held facing out)
Here are some pics:
His first smile on camera...melt my heart!

I am seriously loving all his smiles and chats.  Addie was never this smiley at his age and always was so serious so I am just eating up all his smiles!
 First parade
Checking out his new activity gym

Despite our struggles with him eating and being a crummy sleeper, we are loving every second with our little guy.

Summer Fun

I am getting so far behind on blogging.  We have been staying busy and having fun.  Last week we were running from sun up to sun down everyday, but that is what summer is all about.  Playing hard all day and falling into bed at night.  Here is a recap in pictures of what we have been up to.
Back in May we went to Kaysville's baby animals days.  Addie loved all the animals, especially holding the chick and bunny.

She did not love riding the horse.  She made it about half way around the corral before we had to get her off
 Cousin fun
Swimming a.k.a standing in her pool (she is a little apprehensive about being in the water, but loves to play with it)

Playing at City Creek

Learning how to pedal on her bike
Playing at splash pads.  These are the greatest inventions ever

Spending a lot of time at Jensen nature park feeding the ducks and running on the bridge.  Addie is obsessed with this bridge and would spend all day running back and forth if I let her.

 Logan loves to be outside
Just being silly

We went to the Kaysville Art and Music Festival and had a blast.  Addie loves playing with these shapes and magnetic boards
And she discovered her love for cotton candy
We have been having such a blast and I can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store for us.  We blessed Logan this past Sunday and I will do a separate post about that and him being two months old.
