My goal of having this blog up to date before Olivia was born has been an epic fail. I am still a good month behind, but I have got to update about our sweet baby. The little details fade and I want to remember every little thing about this stage of her life. Olivia Jane Scott was born on August 20th at 12:10 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long. She was my first baby to be induced and proved me wrong in my determination that she would arrive before her induction date. Well she didn't. We arrived bright and early to Ogden Regional, after calling in multiple times and having them say to call back in a half an hour, etc. Once I got situated things progressed really fast. My doctor happened to be there that morning already and so she came in and broke my water after I started the pitocin. That really got my contractions going and I quickly requeseted the epidural and it was a good thing because I started feeling a lot of pressure and my checked me and said "there's a baby" and quickly called for my doctor. My doctor had me give a test push to see how things were going and the baby literally slid right out of me. I didn't even give one real push. Easiest labor ever! She was pink and screaming and perfect in every way. She was born 3 hours after my water broke. The most difficult 9 months of my life were instantly worth it when I laid eyes on her.
So excited to meet her new baby sister!
Best attempt at a family pic
Logan didn't know what was going on and had a hard time seeing me in the hospital bead. He had no interest in the baby and when we were leaving the hospital he was upset and wanted the baby to stay there. Luckily he finally came around to the idea of having a new baby in the fam!
