Bittersweet

I labeled this post bittersweet because Friday was my last day of work at Rise, inc. and it really was bittersweet. I have worked there for about a year now and have made a lot of wonderful friends. I will sincerely miss all the girls I have worked with, they are amazing. I will also miss all of my families that I worked with, both the foster parents and the children with disabilities I supported. They are amazing and inspiring individuals. I have known for a long time that I would be leaving at the end of May, but it feels surreal to actually be done. At the same time, I feel so relieved to finally be done and not have the ginormous responsibility that my job entails on my shoulders anymore. This past year has been the most stressful ever. When I made the decision to major in social work people always told me what a difficult field it is and how easy it is to get burned out. I always brushed those comments off and assumed I could withstand. But I quickly realized that when you are dealing with other people's lives and their problems and are required to pretty much be on-call 24/7, burnout is inevitable. With my two + hour commute, tons of driving on the job, late nights, early mornings, and cringing everytime my phone rang in the evenings or weekends, I knew it was time to be done. My prego body had withheld all the stress and strain it could! I have learned so much about myself this past year. While in school, I never even thought I would end up working with people with disabilities and I was a little uncomfortable with the idea, but I have learned that these amazing individuals have so much to offer and have such good hearts. They have the same goals and desires that anyone else does and they have every right to work towards achieving those goals and having a better quality of life. I will miss each and every one of them. Because there are two of us at Rise that are pregnant, Meghan is due only three weeks after me, my coworkers threw us a joint baby shower before I left and it was such a blast. The baby got a lot of great stuff and everyone was so generous! I hope to keep in touch with all of them, luckily Meghan only lives across the street from me.
The two pregos with our diaper cake that my boss made for us...isn't it so dang cute!

3 Year Anniversary and 32 weeks

May 25th marked our three year anniversary and 32 weeks pregnant. I can't believe we have already been married for 3 years. We both took the day off and spent all day together it was so much fun. We went to my doctor appointment and heard the babe's heart beat and she is doing great! Nephi got some sweet new shoes, I got an adorable car seat cover and Phi picked out these pink gerber daisies because that is what we had at our wedding!
We went and saw the movie Letters to Juliet and I absolutely loved it. It is a definite chick flick, but Phi was nice enough to sit through it with me.
We went to dinner at the elements in Logan...it is one of those places where you overpay for food that is placed beautifully on the plate. It was a lot of fun to get all dressed up and enjoy a night out!
Yummy Dessert
Fancy potato chip appetizer
Here I am at 32 Weeks...somehow I just keep getting bigger.

I think this picture is so funny. I had to bed way over to even see past my belly. Reaching my toes isn't working out too well for me these days, my sweet sis was nice enough to paint my toe nails for me! I am definitely at the uncomfortable, awkward staf and I sure hope the new 8 weeks fly by.

30 Weeks

I have finally made it to the blessed 30 week mark...the next 10 weeks will just fly by, right?! I can't believe we are already 3/4ths of the way through this pregnancy. I am so ready for her to be here...well not ready as far as having all the things I need, but ready to hold her in my arms. My aches and pains are progressing as well. I feel like I am already starting to have a waddle when I walk and it is only going to get worse! It takes about everything I have got to get myself off the couch, bed, etc. just ask Nephi he finds it quite entertaining! Bring on the last 10 weeks I am so ready.

Snuggle Time With Jace

Tim and Jessica left Jace with us while they went out to dinner for their anniversary last night. I was loving every minute of snuggling with this little guy.
They told me I could lay him down when he fell asleep, but I just couldn't put him down. He slept on me for an hour....ah heaven!
Such a cute little guy

Third Trimester Here I Come

I hit 28 weeks this past week and am so excited to be entering the final trimester. I hope the next 12 weeks go by super fast! I have been feeling pretty good but have developed a chronic pain in my tailbone. It literally kills everytime I stand up or sit down and it has been rough with my two plus hour commute everyday. Has anyone else had this problem during pregnancy? My doc says I will probably have it the remainder of my pregnancy...blah! I even got one of those donut pillows to sit on, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. We finally got her crib built and put together with the bedding and I absolutely love it! Our nursery is finally starting to get cleared out and my wonderful parents came up yesterday and hauled away some old furniture so we can have space to put the baby's stuff. I can't wait to her have nursery done! I posted my 28 week belly pics, i am really starting to look and feel like i swallowed a basketball.28 Weeks 2 Days

28 Weeks 3 days

Jace is here!!!

Tim and Jessica welcomed Jace Timothy Peterson into the world on April 29th sometime around 4pm. He weighed in at 6lbs 5oz 18inches long. We went and saw them in the hospital and everything went great. I hope my labor is as smooth and quick as Jessica's, but knowing my luck it will be the exact opposite. Just wait I will be the one in labor for like 18 hours or something! Jace is so precious, I could eat him up. I can't wait for our little one to come it will be fun to have cousins so close in age!
First family photo
The best shot I got of Jace. He looks a lot like Tim

Getting some practice in!
Congrats Tim and Jessica!

Bees Game!!!

We went with my fam to a bees games a couple weekends ago! We love going to the bees games and thought we should start early since I probably won't be able to sit through many more as my pregnancy progresses. We had a lot of fun, even though the bees lost.

Crys and I always have a little too much fun when our cameras come out!
