Four Months

My little Log is 4 months old already.  At his well check he was 15.1 lbs, 24.5 inches, and his head was 17 inches.  He is growing so fast and is hovering right around 50% for weight and 30% for height.  It is kind of funny because Addie was always in like the 90% for weight, but they are both shrimps!  He was pretty upset about his shots and inconsolable for a good 10 minutes or so.  One dose of tylenol and long nap and he was back to his happy, sweet self.  Logan seriously has the sweetest disposition.  He is so sweet and happy all the time and I just love it.  He is such an easy going baby and is great to just chill by himself for a while and play.  Some four month milestones are:
-he now sleeps through the night, yay!  He goes to bed around 10 and sleeps til 7:30 or 8.  Sometimes he wakes up around 5 am and he just needs his bink and goes right back to sleep.
-we ditched the swaddle because he was getting out of it and waking himself up.  He loves to snuggle his blankies and sleep with them on his face

-still binky obsessed, it is getting a bit ridiculous
-still struggling with naps during the day.  I can't get more than a couple quick cat naps out of him in the morning and early afternoon, so usually by late afternoon/early evening he sleeps for a couple hours because he is so exhausted
-he has started playing with toys and loves to hold anything he can get his hands on and of course everything instantly goes into his mouth

-I was getting a little bit worried that he still didn't have great head control, but just in the last week or so he has drastically improved and can hold his head up for quite a while in his bumbo now.  He loves to be able to see what is going on.
-I have gotten a couple of giggles out of him and he loves to give open mouth kisses!
-he loves his big sis.  It was so sweet the other day Addie wanted to sit with him in the rocking chair and take pictures.  I sure hope these two are always best of friends!

-we went to bees game with my family and my little bro just couldn't resist putting Logan in his glove.  Logan was just a little bit too big!

-he is my smiley, happy, sweet, loving little Log and we just love him to pieces!

Out of Order

No Addie is not just turning five months old.  Something happened to this post and the only way not to lose it was to re-post it so enjoy looking at my little chubby butterball who was way chunkier than Logan.  Kind of funny to compare the two though!

{five}

This little lady is FIVE months old! I am loving this age, Addie is so much fun and such a joy to have around. I can finally get her laughing and it is music to my ears! Here is what Addie has been up to this month:
Sitting up on her own
Sometimes we cheat and use a pillow to help

Enjoying tummy time for longer than 30 seconds at a time! She still won't roll over from her tummy to her back since she did it 2 months ago but is dangerously close to rolling from back to tummy...go figure!

Wearing cute new dresses

I just love her rosy, chubby cheeks

Preparing for her 1st Christmas

Addie thinks looking in the mirror and seeing me and her is the greatest thing ever. I can always get a smile out of her by holding her up to a mirror. The other day I put her bumbo on the counter while I got ready and she kept looking at me and then at herself in the mirror and then back at me etc... it was so dang funny! She did it for a good 15 minutes straight!

Drumroll please....I finally got a real smile on camera and not once but twice! I was so happy to have a pic to prove that this little girlie does in fact smile!

Christmas came early for Adds in the form of a jumperoo. I decided to let her use it early since I wanted to get my moneys worth. She is still getting use to it and doesn't get the jumping thing quite yet, but she likes to sit in there and watch the lights and grab things. She is still a little too short for it so she stands on my wii fit board (so glad it is getting used)!

Love you baby girl!

Summer Catch Up

Back in July, Crystal and I finally fulfilled one of our life long dreams of seeing Wicked!  Our seats were amazing, Capitol Theatre was amazing and the show was AH-MA-ZING!  Seriously I was a little worried it wouldn't live up to my expectations, but it far exceeded them.  This is the first Broadway show I have ever seen and I was very impressed.  Much better than any high school musical I have seen haha!
We hit up Farmington Pool a few weeks ago.  It was pretty much exactly like I remembered it being ten years ago, except they added a splash pad which was great for Addie!
Addie has so much fun playing with her cousin Jace.  I am so glad she has a cousin close in age that she gets to see all the time!
I went to girls camp with the young women for two days and had a blast but I was sure glad to get home to my littles and Addie greeted me at the door when I got home.
Enjoying a spaghetti dinner.  Why do her favorite foods have to be the messiest too?!
We had the opportunity to go with to Lagoon for free with Nephi's company for their annual party.  We decided to take Addie and were pleasantly surprised at how well she did with the kiddie rides.  It was nice not having to pay, so we didn't have to stress about fitting in a lot of rides and getting our moneys worth.  It was a very hot and crowded day, but we had a lot of fun.  Crystal came with us which was nice so two of us could ride rides and the other could stay with Addie.
She loved the boats
 and the train ride
and her favorite hands down was the cars.   She made a cute little friend and they both rode it twice together!
She also rode the carousel and puff the dragon, but puff was a little too much for her and she refused to go on rides after that!
Keeping cool and entertained while Phi and Crystal rode the rocket, so glad Crystal was there to go on the rides I don't like with Phi!

I was just happy I got to go on Samurai and Spider
We also spent a couple hours in Lagoon-a-beach.  Good thing it was a hot day because that water was freezing!  Addie fell asleep almost instantly once we got in the car.  I would say it was a successful day!
Cute Logan has become obsessed with watching TV.  Probably because I pretty much had it on 24/7 watching the olympics.  I don't know what to do now that they are over.
We have had a fun month and don't want summer to end!
