the 24th of july...better late than never!

we had a fun 24th of july. we took advantage of a long weekend by going to Pocatello and staying overnight. you might be asking yourself what the heck is in pocatello, well we stayed overnight so we could go to lava hot springs in the morning. that night we swam and hit the exciting town of pocatello. we went and saw my sister's keeper and by saw i mean i bawled my eyes out the entire time, but i loved it. we also went to fort hall. if you don't know what fort hall is it is an indian reservation right outside of pocatello and they have a casino there. you only have to be 18 to go there and it is pretty entertaining. i had been there once before a few years back and won about $18, i guess it was beginner's luck because this time i left seven dollars poorer from the penny slots. that's okay though it is not like i was there to gamble we just went for fun and phi went for the free soda and hot choc. the next morning when we came out of our hotel room it was overcast and stormy, which made me very unhappy. we had come all this way and decided to go to lava anyway. when we got there we decided we needed to at least float the river if nothing else. we rented a double tube (biggest mistake ever) and tubed the river. the first time was a blast, we tipped once but still had a good time, the second time we tipped again and nephi lost one of his flip flops so i went after it and couldn't stop so phi came after me and got way torn up from all the rocks so we had to stop it was still a lot of fun but if we did it again we would do single tubes cuz you have a lot more control. we headed back to logan for the annual concert and fireworks. this year they had peter breinholt in concert which we both loved and the fireworks were great also. it was a fun 24th and i am way lame and didn't really get any pics. the next post will have pics i promise!
