Summer Lovin'

We have been having a busy, fun August and that is just how we like it.  I am trying to hang onto summer for as long as I can and I feel like it is slipping through my fingers.  As the summer comes to a close I always find myself feeling like I didn't take advantage of it and all the activities/fun that goes along with summer, so we have been trying to cram in as much as we can with the time we still have left.  I am slightly devastated that Cherry Hill is now closed down during the week, I don't know what Addie and I will do to fill our time now!  I have loved spending our summer days at Cherry Hill and I love that Addie loves the water.  We have had friends and family going with us the past couple of weeks and let's be honest it is always more fun to go to Cherry when there is someone else to sit and chat with!  We went for my mom's birthday and had so much fun.

Other things we have been up to lately:
Going to the fair-Addie absolutely loved all the animals and people watching.  She was also completely enthralled in watching the rides.
This pic cracks me up, and if Addie looks hot it's because she was, we were all dying of heat, but I think it it normal to feel a little filthy at the fair!
Watching dogs do tricks into the pool.  Addie kept saying "woof woof" to them
Enjoying her first blow pop, she was a sticky mess, but she sure was happy!

Getting cuffed for the first time!  Before you call CPS on me just know that these cuffs were a gag gift from YW's and I just put them on her long enough to get a picture.  She liked it at first but then realized she was stuck and wasn't having it!
Spending lots of time with Grandma and other family
Enjoying mighty mini's popsicles.  If you haven't heard of these popsicles, they are more stick than popsicles so Addie's little hands have room to hold onto without getting cold, small portions (although she seems to think she needs two or three each time) and they are slow melting which means little to no mess.  Seriously love these things for Adds.
Took Addie to her first Bees Game- we had seats but ended up on the grass for most of the game cuz Addie would not sit still

She was a little beggar the whole time and wanted Crystal's snow cone so bad
 Crawling away with my necklace
Addie tried, and loved, sour patch kids.

Shoving her fist in to get handful (contrary to all the pictures, I sweat my child's diet consists of more than candy and snow cones!)
Update on our family:
Nephi-he is absolutely loving his new job which is such a relief from his last job.  He has crappy hours and seems to be working lots of overtime but at least he is happy.
Emily-I am trying to keep up with with Addie and adjusting to Phi's new schedule.  He use to be home by 5:45 every night and now we are lucky if he is home by 7 and he works til 9 two nights a week too...blah!  Not to mention he is able to work unlimited overtime and has taken that to mean he needs to work as much overtime as possible.  I am learning how to be a single parent!  Jk, I know he is just working hard to get our family into a home soon and I am so grateful for all he does.
Addie-she is so much fun lately!  She is learning new things everyday and I love it!  She now signs baby, more, milk, monkey, eat, and I can't remember the others.  She knows where her head, ears, belly, and occasionally nose are at.  She has been saying more words lately and currently says dada, banana, baby, ball, flower, what a dog, kitty, and monkey says, bubbles, and trees!  She cracks me up every single day and never ceases to amaze me.    All in all things are going well with our family and even though it is always hard to see summer come to an end, I can't help but get excited for fall!  After all, I did already get Addie's Halloween costume!
