Addie turned 2

Well somehow Addie went and grew up on me.  It is crazy to me that she is already two.  These past two years have been the greatest of my life and we are so lucky to have our little girl in our family.  I took her for her well check last week and she was weighed and measured with standing on the adult scale and against the wall for height.  It was so weird to me that she is old enough to do it the big kid way!  She was a champ and had to get one shot and didn't even cry or flinch, she just asked for a sucker as soon as it was over, this girl sure does love her sweets!  She is still on the small side 25 lbs 33 in.  About 30% for both so she is proportionate at least!  We didn't have a big party this year, instead Nephi took the day off and we just played all day.  I wanted to surprise her with a bunch of balloons in her room.  We started blowing up balloons at 10:30 at night and realized they were the little water balloon size, which if you didn't know they are insanely hard to blow up, I about passed out just trying to blow one up.  So we didn't get as many as I had hoped.  When Addie woke up she loved it and was yelling "balls, balls" she had no idea they were balloons since they were so small ha ha!
After playing with her streamers and balloons, she opened some of her presents from us. Playing with her new kitchen and play food
I found a set with a princess crown, earrings, necklace and ring on clearance for $3 and I am pretty sure it was her favorite present.  She wore them for like three days straight.
She is such a little ham for the camera and loves to pull silly poses!
Nephi's mom came over and we went to lunch at good old Micky D's.  Addie loves her chicken and ranch.  After refusing to take a nap due to birthday excitement overload, we headed to Cherry Hill for the evening.
Addie absolutely loved it.  I was worried cuz she has been a little nervous of water this summer but she had so much fun and kept begging to go back in whenever we got out.  I hope we can get passes again next summer.  Logan was so good the whole time and just slept on the ground most of the time.  We headed back to my mom's house for some more presents and cake and ice cream.
This was her third birthday cake in three days, two just that day.  She became a pro at blowing out her candles.  She was spoiled rotten and got so many fun new toys.  She loves her sit n spin and always makes sure that her toys get their turn on it too!
At 2 years old Addie
-Is still a horrible eater.  She won't touch any vegetables(unless they are being used as a spoon for ranch), meat (unless you count hot dogs and pepperoni), and tons of other food.  It has probably been the most frustrating thing for me, trying to get her to eat things.  I am starting to play hard ball with her and not just making what I know she will eat.
-Is an amazing sleeper.  She goes to bed around 8:30 and sleeps until 8:30 or sometimes later.  She has been boycotting naps lately, but normally she takes a good two hour afternoon nap too.
-Is obsessed with all things princess (especially Tangled) and Dora
-Is an amazing talker and can pretty communicate anything and everything.  She speaks in three word phrases now and even some four word phrases.
-Loves stuffed animals and sleeps with about ten each night.
-Is very independent and wants to do everything herself
-Loves her baby brother and always wants to hold him, make sure he has his binky, and makes sure he has toys to play with.
-Still insanely shy.  It is exhausting how shy she is around people she doesn't know and sometimes even those she does.  She is getting a lot better but she still struggles playing with other kids.  Luckily she loves nursery.
-Loves to accessorize and do things just like me
-Calls us mama and dada
-Is still my little cuddle bug and will always give hugs and kisses
I could go on and on about this little girl.  She is so full of imagination these days and is always cracking us up with the things she does and says.

She loves hot salsa, she kept going back for more and I was having a hard time eating it!

She loves being a goof ball in the tub
 Sneaking a sip
She has pretty much had a dirty face all summer long, but I guess that is how it should be.  Having Addie get older is so much fun but she has definitely hit the terrible two stage and I am scared for what lies ahead!  Everything with her is a fight lately: taking a bath, taking a nap, going to bed, putting her shoes on, getting in the car, staying in her stroller, etc. etc. etc.  She is one feisty little spitfire and so full of personality and attitude.  I pray for patience everyday with this little one, but we love this little girl so stinkin much and look forward to seeing her grow and develop this coming year.
