Spring 2013

My post title kind of gives it away, and the fact I haven't blogged in two and a half months, but I am just a little bit behind on the old blog.  It seems the longer I go without updating the more daunting it gets.  After an exceptionally rough day with my almost 3 year old (seriously she is going to be three next week, crazy) I decided I could use a little reminiscing of some of the good times we have had lately, hence me updating the blog.  So without further ado, I am going to pretty much clump all of May's pictures together in a megapost, awesome I know.  Oh and don't worry, I will probably be doing the same thing for the summer!
Logan was spoiled rotten for his birthday.  I gave him these blocks for his birthday and the first time we broke them out, he would start bawling and having a complete meltdown every time the towers we built would fall.  I had to document it, because it really was pretty funny that he was so upset every time.  Playing with these blocks was pretty hard for him for a few weeks.  Luckily he is happy to build and crash down the blocks now.
Clinging for dear life onto Addie's snow white.  Those little people princesses still seem to be his favorite toy hands down!
This little boy seriously could not be any cuter.  This was how excited he was to have a forward facing carseat.  Can't say that I blame him.
We kept the tradition alive and went to Kaysville's baby animal days.  It was so much fun and Addie was in heaven with all the baby animals.  She was a little more timid to hold them however but liked to sit by me while I held them.
Not that you can tell what's in her lap, but her favorite was the baby bunny.
Pure excitement right there.
Our biggest news of recent is that Addie is potty trained.  Although I use that term loosely because just today she had two accidents.  Really though she was doing so good and has been dry through the night from day one, but for some reason has been regressing a little bit recently.  My favorite is peeing her pants at the pool...not.  I am still super proud of her and have learned that I am going to wait to potty train Logan, I pushed and pushed Addie and it wasn't until she was ready that she pretty much potty-trained herself. Now she gets to go to pre-school in the fall...yahoo!
This was taken when we went to pick up our Cherry Hill passes.  They just had to have a ride in the tonka truck.  The first time we went to swim Addie thought we were going to ride these rides again and had no idea there was more to Cherry Hill.  Silly girl!
These two cute cousins walking hand in hand home from church talking and having the cutest little conversation ever.  I am so glad they have each other.
Sprinklers under the tramp are the best thing ever.
We took advantage of the nice spring weather and played outside a lot.  We had fun playgroups outside in the water.
We went with Crystal to Liberty Park.  I had never been before and was pretty much blown away by all that they had to do there.  We have already been back once since and I plan to go many more times.  I also discovered that my single jogging stroller, which Logan prefers over our double, can swing as a makeshift double stroller.  I call this my wannabe Phil & Teds!

We also went with some friends to the zoo.  We had a lot of fun and I thought for sure Addie would love the carousel.  Let's just say I am officially one of "those" mom's who tries to force her kids to have fun. I had to literally restrain Addie to keep her from throwing herself off the moving lion.  Maybe someday she won't be such a wuss about EVERYTHING!

Girls day out ended with Sonic's happy hour.
Just being cool at the park.  This girl is so full of personality it's a little scary.
I found her with her outside chair on the couch, naked, and watching a show on the ipad.  Seriously, this girl.
Messy cupcake girl.  Glad she was sitting on Crystal's lap and not mine!
Future piano players, who from the back look like twins.  Someday Addie will have hair...I hope!
We took advantage of a family fun day at Discovery Gateway.  Addie's imagination is just exploding and it is fun to see her pretend play and enjoy everything they have there.  Logan is the cutest fireman I ever did see.
With the end of spring, came the end of Addie's first dance class.  We were both sad to see it end.  She had so much fun and actually learned quite a bit.  She asks me all the time when she gets to go to dance.  I definitely could see her going far with dance she already has such a love for it!  I loved dressing her up in her leotard and leggings each week and watching her excel and interact with the other cute girls in her class.  She loves to dance around on her tiptoes, twirl and shake her booty.  She learned how to walk with her two hands like a wheelbarrow and is working really hard on her front flip.  Can't wait for her to start up with a new class this fall.

Her cute teacher

Well that pretty much sums up our spring.  We stayed pretty busy and had a lot of fun, but we have been super busy this summer and I still have tons to catch up on.  Props to you if you made it through all that.
