Oh Summer

As promised, I am updating the blog on our summer fun and it is going to be a big photo dump...sorry.  But at least I decided to break it up into two parts.  Here is the first half of our summer.
We have been spending as much time as possible with family and doing fun activities.  Addie experienced her first pinata and loved everything about it.  Logan loved the treats afterwards and wearing the top of the ice cream cone as a sombrero.

Wouldn't be summer without popsicles, lots of popsicles.
Cherry Hill started out a little rocky with two kids that couldn't swim, but within only a few times of going Addie got the hang of her puddle jumper and can now swim on her own...wahoo!  Seriously she is like a little fish now and will even jump in to me in the pool.  Logan also loves swimming and had a blast at Cherry all summer.
Trips to the Nature park are always a must for us.  Feeding the ducks and learning how to skip rocks.
Addie was super excited to meet her fav princess Rapunzel at Station Park.  We are kind of obsessed with Station Park it is such a fun place to just hang out and when they have so many free family friendly events, why not?!

Logan happy as can be in his stroller while at the Syracuse Heritage Days.  Addie overcame her fear of rides and wanted to ride them all.  Don't mind her looking like "Smalls" from the Sandlot.  She found an old Aggie hat of mine and insisted on wearing it, assuming the A stood for Addie!
First time getting her face painted and naturally she requested a princess
Yet another evening spent at Station Park and yet another princess meet and greet.  If you look closely it is the same girl that was Rapunzel, but Addie would never know.  Ariel is now her current obsession so she loved meeting her.
Normally I would do a separate post on our 4th of July but I am just going to cram it all here.  We just did the usual; Kaysville parade, BBQ at my parents, and fireworks at Davis High.  We do the same thing every year and I wouldn't change it one bit.  Nothing will ever compare to Kaysville on the 4th.
Festive Addie and Grandma at the parade
Logan sporting his patriotic baseball tee and hanging out in the shade

Addie collecting way too much candy

My attempt at a festive food, thank you Pinterest

These pics are why I NEED an SLR camera, Nephi thinks an Iphone camera is just as good...I think not
Addie's sore + messy face = homeless child look
 Fireworks with Crystal
Swimming at surf'n'swim.  Logan is a little fish in the water
Bees game with the fam.  These kiddos were so naughty and could not sit still if they didn't have a continuous flow of food.  Pretty sure we were out of there before the bottom of the 5th inning. A for effort.
We partook in free slurpee day for the first time ever.  I was pleasantly surprised with how easily we were able to get in and out.  Definitely worth it.
Up next....Addie's 3rd birthday
