My Awesome Birthday Weekend!!

I just had such a fun birthday. The best part was it kinda lasted all weekend. It's nice cuz my birthday fell on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Phi and I went to Park City on Friday night and stayed overnight. We did some swimming, relaxing, shopping, and we rode the ziprider and alpine slide. This was a huge accomplishment for me cuz I am terrified of heights. I was super nervous and thought I was going to die, but after the initial drop I really enjoyed freefalling down the mountain. It was a lot of fun and the alpine slide was pretty fun too. Nephi was so good to me this year. He did so much nice stuff for me and made me feel so special. I am so lucky to have him. After our Park City fun we met up with my parents in Salt Lake and Nephi went with my dad to a BYU game so my mom and I could do some shopping together and had a good time then me, mom, Crys, Tim, and Jessica met Phi and Dad at Macaroni Grill for dinner. It was a lot of fun and I love the bread there. I got a special birthday cake and a guy sang me happy birthday in Italian.

Then today Nephi and I had to give talks in church...stress. I had had no time to do my talk so I was up bright and early this morning trying to get my talk written. Mom, dad, and Crystal came up to hear our talks and my wonderful mom brought dinner. It was the greatest birthday ever and rightfully so cuz I am officially 21! I have been upgraded to the horizontal drivers license! Well it was an amazing birthday and thanks to Phi, fam, and friends for making it so fun! Love you guys!

Crystal moved up to Logan this past weekend and I am so glad to have her close by. It is hard to believe that she is old enough to be going to college. I am so excited for her and all the fun she will have. It is nice to have some fam close by now.

Nephi's Surgery Was a Success

Well Nephi is now home recovering from having his gallbladder taken out. We checked him into the hospital at noon yesterday and we did not leave the hospital til about 6 p.m. It was a very long day! The surgery went well and there was no complications. I am just home taking care of him. He has been really out of it and sleeping a lot. I have been going slightly crazy being couped up in the house all day...but I am trying to be a good wife...trying is the key word! We are both really excited for him to recover and start feeling better. He would probably never allow me to post the following pics but he is all hopped up on pain killers, so even though he is sitting right next to me he has no idea what is going on. I couldn't help but take pics for his first time being in a hospital and having surgery!

Happy Birthday Mom

So today is my mom's birthday. Because my dad left for Trek today and Phi and I both had to work late, we all got together on Saturday night to celebrate. We had a great time with everyone there. We went to Chili's for dinner, which I loved, and then we had birthday cake and hung out. I was all excited to take a bunch of pics with all the fam and after the first pic my camera died. I have the worst luck with camera batteries...well any batteries. I don't pull it out for months and then the one time I want to take pictures the battery is dead. Oh well what can I do. So there are no birthday pics just a birthday greeting I am so grateful for my mom she is so wonderful and I hope to be half the mom she is to me someday! Happy birthday Mom, I love you!

This might seem like a random pic but i just love it cuz my camera has this feature called color accent where i can choose one color to show up and have everything else black and white. It is the coolest thing ever...convenient for us we were both wearing blue!
