Two Months!

Addie turned 2 months this past Friday. Man the time sure does fly when you have a baby. We went in for her 2 month appointment today and things are looking great. We have a happy, healthy baby and we are so grateful. She was a champ for her shots. I was dreading them and she sure did scream but I was able to comfort her immediatey after and she calmed right down and guzzled a bottle! She has been so sleepy and a bit fussy but that is to be expected.

We've got a short chubby little sweetie and we love it.

Just a couple of things about Addie:

She loves her binky and is getting better at keeping it in

She has started sleeping in her crib in her own room. I have been propping her in her boppy when I first put her down because of her reflux and then I sneak in and take her out of it. I also swaddle her in a swaddle blanket and she is sleeping wonderfully. She started sleeping through the night around 7 weeks and now she is sleeping from 10-7ish and it is heaven. She is getting better at taking decent naps during the day as well!

She has a great grip. She is particulary fond of my shirt, hair, necklace, and her binky. As you can see in the pic below she will pull it out without realizing what she is doing.

She loves watching tv...she is so fascinated with it. I know I am a bad mom for getting her hooked so young! She especially likes football and makes daddy and grandpa so proud! This pic is of her sitting on the couch watching tv, she looks so grown up!

She has already grown and developed so much in two short months I can't wait to see what the next month has in store!

Weekend Fun

Last weekend we enjoyed spending time together with our little family. On Saturday we went to Brigham City's Peach Days. I look forward to this every year and especially this year because I had a reason to shop at all the little girl craft boutiques...i have a slight addiction! It was soo crowded and Addie wouldn't let us put her down, so we didn't end up staying long but we had fun while it lasted.

We made it through the full 3 hours of church at our new ward...with difficulty! Someone please tell me how to stay at church for all 3 hours with a baby because I think it is next to impossible. My church is insanely old and doesn't even have a mother's lounge. They have an ancient chair in the women's bathroom that is right out in the open for all to see. I tried feeding Addie and a little girl came up to me and asked what I was doing and wanted to stay right by my side! Addie didn't want to sleep at all so I had to hold her and holding her + sore tail bone + hard church chairs = very uncomfortable. I am sure I will get use to it...hopefully!

That night we went to Nephi's grandparents house for his Grandpa's 86th b-day! How crazy it that. It was a lot of fun to see his side of the fam and introduce Addie to a lot of them. We were lucky enough to get a 4 generations pic with Addie, Nephi, Nephi's mom and his grandparents. Addie is so lucky to have so many people who love her.

And last but not least, no weekend can be complete without a nap...at least for Phi! Even while holding Addie he still manages to get a nap in.

The Many Faces of Addie

Addie is getting so big! She is our little chubbers and we just love it. She has been using her bumbo and is getting pretty good at keeping her little head up...but when she is done she is done! She pulls some pretty funny faces in it.

I can't believe she is already almost 2 months old. She has changed so much. It is so fun to see her learning new things and developing her personality. She is pretty stubborn with her smiles...they are still few and far between, I hope she breaks them out soon!

Blessed

We are so blessed to have Addie in our lives! This past Sunday she was blessed at our new ward in Layton. Nephi blessed her and did such a great job, the blessing was just beautiful. I was stressed about her being asleep for the blessing. Her routine wasn't working out that morning like it usually does to have her sleep through sacrament. I tried to hold her off and keep her asleep, but when I handed her to Nephi for the blessing she was wide eyed. I shouldn't be surprised she loves to take in her surroundings and although she was awake for the blessing she was content and didn't make a peep...phew!! It was such a special day for such a special baby.

B-Day Weekend

My birthday was a week ago Monday and I am just now getting around to posting about it. It is amazing how hard it is to find time to blog with a little one to care for! Because my birthday was on a Monday and Nephi was only home for the weekend before needing to be back in Denver, we celebrated all weekend long! On Saturday me and Phi went to dinner at Tucano's and it was so yummy. We left Addie with my parents and I survived and she did great. Sunday we had a family party at my parents before I had to take Phi to the airport (tear) and we had some delic cake and ice cream.

On Monday, my actual b-day, Crystal was sweet enough to take the day off work to spend with me so I wouldn't be all by myself. Phi sent me a flower arrangement shaped like a cupcake and some chocolate since he couldn't be here. We went out to lunch, shopping, and got a redbox. It was a fun weekend and of course it was so nice to be able to celebrate with this little jem this year!
